Novi Allows Businesses Additional Sign for Holidays

To help Novi's businesses promote their holiday sales, the city is again providing a one-time, additional business sign allowance.

The additional signs may be up only between Nov. 22 and Dec. 26. 

The business sign, as defined by the city: "must direct attention to a business or profession conducted or to a product, service, or activity sold or offered upon, the premises where such sign is located, and may only reference the name of the business at the premises, and the profession conducted thereon, or the product, service, or activity sold at the premises."

The sign must also be no larger than 48 inches by 72 inches and can't be placed more than 6 feet high. All business owners wishing to take advantage of this extra sign allowance must apply with the city via a permit application.
