Novi, Catholic Central Students Named In Channel 7's 'Brightest & Best' List
Look for the students on TV this season.
student Lucia Chen and student Hunter McDaniel have been named to the "Brightest & Best" list of students in the Detroit Metro area.
Channel 7, WXYZ-TV recently honored the 256 recipients of this year's "Brightest & Best" award with a special luncheon at the station in Southfield.
The station teamed up with Gardner-White Furniture this year to present the Brightest and Best Essay Contest. One lucky student that submits a 500-word essay on how to move Michigan forward by retaining college graduates to work and live in Michigan will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

According to the Channel 7 website, "All of their essays will be delivered to Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Detroit Mayor Dave Bing for consideration. The essay finalists will be posted on wxyz.com and gardner-white.com and the winner will be announced on 7 Action News in June."
