Tickets are now on sale for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. presented by the Novi Civic Theatre. The show opens Friday and tickets may be purchased online at cityofnovi.org or at the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services office,
located inside the Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice’s score is brought to life in the stage adaptation of the classic tale, Beauty and the Beast. Based on Disney’s Academy Award winning animated film, the stage version of Beauty and the Beast tells the story of the winsome Belle and her ferocious captor. The 1991 Disney movie became the first animated film nominated for Best Picture. In New York, the Broadway production played to more than 5,000 sold-out houses and went on to become the sixth longest running Broadway musical of all time. Filled with lovable characters, beautiful tunes and enchanting sets and costumes, this “tale as old as time” is sure to be a standing-room-only hit.

Sixty-two young actors from Novi and the neighboring towns of Northville, Walled Lake, Farmington, Belleville, Livonia, Wayne and Wixom will perform in the production.

“Every piece of this production is breath-taking! Not only will you be amazed by the costumes and the scenery, but also the incredible talent on stage talent. It is one of the most beautiful productions ever produced at the Novi Civic Theatre,” said Lauren Nowakowski, Performing Arts Coordinator and production Director.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children and seniors. All seats are reserved. For more information, please call the Novi Parks office at 248-347-0400. For more information about the Novi Civic Theater, visit cityofnovi.org.
