Dave Hartman, longtime football coach at , passed away Thursday, reports the Livingston Daily.
Hartman died at the age of 55 after a long battle with cancer.
In addition to coaching in Novi and Brighton, Hartman also taught industrial arts at before retiring in 2011.

A memorial service will be held for Hartman on Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at Novi Middle School.
