Novi Schools Announces New Leader in Human Resources

The Novi Community School District board of education approved the appointment of Shailee Patel as the director of student services at its meeting earlier this month.

“We are excited to welcome Ms. Patel to our Novi family,” said R.J. Webber, assistant superintendent of academics.

Patel has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree from Miami University of Ohio and an Educational Specialist degree from Oakland University.

She most recently served as a supervisor of special services at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park in the Plymouth-Canton School District. Previously she was assistant principal at Salem High School in Plymouth-Canton, a special education teacher consultant and center-based teacher in the Northville Public Schools and a special education teacher at Eastmoor Middle School in Columbus, Ohio.

“Ms. Patel brings a host of experiences that will empower her to serve our students with special needs at a very high level,” Webber said. “Her boundless energy, deep passion for serving others, and commitment to children will make her a valuable part of our school district and help Novi become an even better place.”
