Oakland County Lottery Club Wins $1M Mega Millions Prize: MI Lottery

MILFORD, MI — An Oakland County lottery club won a $1 million Mega Million prize, according to the Michigan Lottery.

The 21-member Lunchroom Ladies lottery club in Milford matched the five white balls (02-10-42-49-54) in the Jan. 16 drawing to win the big prize, according to lottery officials.

The group bought the winning ticket at the BP gas station, located at 19995 West 9 Mile Road in Southfield, according to lottery officials.

"We are coworkers and have been playing the Lottery as a club for a while," one of the club members told lottery officials. "I checked the ticket at a store and when I found out we’d won $1 million, I was in complete shock! I called all the club members and told them we won big, but a lot of them had a hard time believing me at first."
