Parks Officials Approve Rate Hike

Huron-Clinton Metroparks patrons can expect to pay more for daily pass in 2016

In a move that surprised few, Huron-Clinton Metroparks officials voted unanimously to approve an increase in daily rates at all 13 parks, pushing the fee from $7 to $10 beginning in 2016.

The fee hike doubles the rate that was charged to patrons in 2013, according to a report in the Detroit News.

The fee hike will raise an additional $1.2 million for the parks system, according to the report.
