People Steal $700 Cash from Twelve Oaks Mall

The suspects took the money from a woman's purse.

Novi police are searching for three people who stole merchandise June 24 from Twelve Oaks Mall, according to a police report. 

One man and two women stole clothing from Bebe and about $700 in cash, the report said. A woman was shopping in another store and left her bag by the cash register because she knew the store manager, according to the report.

She went into the dressing room and her bag was gone when she came out, the report said. In the bag was clothing she recently bought from Bebe, using an employee discount, and $700 in cash, according to the report.

A woman called the store the next day asking how to return items bought with an employee discount, the report said. Based on video surveillance, police saw one of the suspects leave the store with a black Bebe bag around the time the woman’s items went missing, the report said.
