Person Breaks Windshield, Causes $700 in Damage

Someone broke the windshield on a piece of construction equipment owned by Rose Excavating sometime before 7:30 a.m. June 21, according to a Novi police report. 

The CAT 315CL excavator was intact at 6 p.m. June 20 when the complainant said some children were playing nearby, the report said. The windshield, approximately 3 by 4 feet will cost $700 to replace, according to the report. 

The windshield appeared to have had a rock or other heavy object thrown at it, the report said, because there were spiderweb cracks in it.

A nearby neighbor did not hear anything, and there are no suspects, according to the report.
