Police Arrest Lincoln Park Man on Charges of Possessing Marijuana

Novi police arrested a Lincoln Park man around 3 a.m. Oct. 17 on charges of possessing marijuana, according to a police report.
An officer saw the driver of a black Lincoln LS drift right and cross the white fog line on eastbound I-96 near Haggerty Road, the report said. The driver said he was trying to change the radio station, according to the report.
The officer smelled marijuana from inside the vehicle, the report said, and saw several empty pill bottles inside.

The officer arrested the driver for driving with a suspended license and searched the vehicle to find a marijuana pipe and a prescription pill bottle in the center console, according to the report. There was a green leafy substance inside the bottle, the report said. The substance tested positive for marijuana and the officer added possession of marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia to the man’s charge, according to the report.
The man paid a $100 cash bond and has a hearing Oct. 28 at 52-1 District Court, the report said.Â
