Semi Truck Driver Seriously Hurt In Crash On I-96 In Oakland Co.: MSP
The driver of the semi truck was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to be ok, according to police.

NOVI, MI — A semi truck driver was seriously injured Monday morning in a crash on Interstate 96 in Oakland County, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 7:35 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 96 near Beck Road in Novi, according to police.
Police said a gravel hauler was moving slowly in the right lane with its hazard lights on due to heavy traffic. The semi truck was not able to stop in time and smashed into the back of the gravel hauler, according to police.

"We continue to remind drivers to leave enough distance between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "Rear end crashes are totally preventable. Drivers should always leave enough room to react to sudden stops, emergencies or changes in road conditions."
