Woman Arrested on Charges of Driving Within Presence of Drugs
The following information was supplied by the Novi Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Two officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Twelve Oaks Mall on June 15 at 7 p.m. in reference to a narcotics complaint, according to a police report. The officers saw the driver and passenger of a car acting suspiciously; they sat in car for an extended amount of time and continued to look down into their laps, the report said. As both were leaving, an officer saw the driver throw out a syringe, the report said.
The officers then stopped the car on 12 Mile Road east of Novi Road. The female driver, who is 26, denied injecting herself with heroin, but the officer observed track marks on inside of both elbows, the report said. While speaking with her, the officer noticed her pupils were very constricted and had her perform some sobriety tests, the report said.
The woman gave police permission to search the car, where they found syringes in the glove box and placed them into evidence, the report said. The woman said they were used syringes from the other night, the report said.

The woman was arrested on charges of operating within the presence of drugs, the report said. The case is now pending the results of the woman’s blood draw at the police station and prosecutor review, the report said.

Car egged while on the road
A woman and her husband reported that someone threw an egg at their car while they were driving on Taft Road near 10 Mile Road on June 16 at 11:45 p.m., according to a police report. The couple said they did not see the person, the report said. The police officer noted that the paint was scratched and cracking on the rear passenger side door of the car, and the size was consistent with that of an egg, the report said. The officer also found egg matter splattered on the door, the report said.
Turn signal stolen from car
A man reported that the front passenger turn signal was stolen from his van while it was parked on E. Le Bost during the night of June 15 to June 16, according to a police report. The man said he parked his van in the street, and there was no damage to the car except the signal being stolen, the report said. The three other cars he had parked in the street were fine, the report said. The police did not find any suspects or evidence, and the case has been closed. The man said he just wanted to inform the police department of what was happening in neighborhood, the report said.
