Elderly Man Hit By Vehicle On M-24 In Oakland County: Reports

ORION TOWNSHIP, MI — An elderly man was hit by a vehicle Tuesday night while crossing Michigan 24 (Lapeer Road) near Lake Orion Road in Orion Township, according to multiple reports.

Officials did not release the victim's condition, but considered the incident serious as it forced the closure of Michigan 24 around 11 p.m., reports said.

The driver who hit the elderly man stopped at the scene, reports said. Police did not say whether speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Officials were still investigating the incident.
