Lake Orion Keeps State Championship Dreams Alive with 51-35 Defeat of Dakota
Lake Orion will go on to face Cass Tech in the MHSAA Division 1 semi-finals Nov. 17.
Dealing a 51-35 defeat to Dakota High School Friday, Lake Orion is now within striking distance of the MHSAA Division 1 football championship.Â
The Dragons lead scoring in the first half and entered halftime with a 31-7 lead. While the Cougars answered with double touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters, the Dragons' could not be overtaken. Â
Now 11-1 in the postseason, Lake Orion will continue its playoff run Nov. 17, facing Cass Tech (10-2) in the semi-finals.Â
