Man Arrested on Charge of Heroin Possession

A man was arrested last week on a charge of heroin possession, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched June 13 to the 1000 Block of Baldwin road for a suspicious person complaint. 

The deputies saw a man near a picnic table who appeared to be under the influence, and deputies later found someone had seen the man talking to someone in a pickup truck before placing something into his pocket in what the witness believed to be a drug transaction. Deputies determined the man to be in possession of heroin and arrested him at the scene.

Victor McCollum, a 31-year-old Oxford resident, was lodged at Oakland County Jail. He was arraigned at 52-3 District Court.
