Oakland County Boy Dies In Pool After Wandering From Home: Police
Officials found the 5-year-old Orion Township boy dead in the pool roughly two hours after wandering from his home, officials said.
ORION TOWNSHIP, MI — A 5-year-old Orion Township boy with special needs was found dead Saturday in a neighbor's pool hours after wandering from his home, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.
Officials believe the child used a ladder on the pool to climb into the above-ground pool roughly two hours after wandering from his home on the 1100 block of Devon Street in Orion Township, the sheriff's office said.
The boy was found on the pool's cover, which had at-least one foot of standing water on it, officials said.
