Oakland County Man Sets Home On Fire Trying To Thaw Frozen Pipes: FD
The man was taken to Ascension Genesys Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, fire officials said.
HOLLY, MI — An Oakland County man was recovering Tuesday after he set his home on fire while trying to thaw frozen water pipes, according to the Holly Fire Department.
Officials found the man unconscious inside his home at the Holly Mobile Home Park in Holly at roughly 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the Holly Fire Department.
He was taken to Ascension Genesys Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to the Holly Fire Department.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was beneath the home, according to the Holly Fire Department.
Investigators said the man caused the fire by trying to thaw the water pipes underneath the home. They warned to never use a torch or open flame to thaw frozen pipes.
