Woman Dies In Oakland Township Crash: Sheriff
An Oak Park woman died in a Saturday morning crash at an Oakland Township intersection, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — An Oak Park woman died in a Saturday morning crash at an Oakland Township intersection, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.
Officials said Joy Turnbore, 29, was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey westbound on Predmore Road at 8:18 a.m. when she pulled in front of a 2022 Hino box truck that was heading northbound on Rochester Road.
Although there is a stop sign on Predmore Road, police do not know if the Journey stopped at the intersection when the truck smashed into the journey.

Officials said Turnbore died in the crash. A 32-year-old passenger from Center Line in the truck was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries, officials said.
The truck driver, a 34-year-old Saint Clair Shores resident, was not injured in the crash, officials said.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelts, and police do not believe alcohol played a factor in the crash, officials said.
The sheriff's office was still investigating the crash.
