Woman Killed In Oakland County Crash Involving Motorcycle: Sheriff
Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
ORION TOWNSHIP, MI β A woman was killed in an Oakland County crash involving a motorcycle Wednesday night, according to the county's sheriff's office.
The crash happened at 8 p.m. Wednesday on Lapeer Road at Morgan Hill Drive in Orion Township, according to sheriff's officials.
Officials said 48-year-old Jennifer Marie Billington, of Lake Orion Village, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle north on Lapeer Road where she slammed into a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan that failed to yield while entering the roadway from Morgan Hill Drive.

The motorcycle struck the driverβs side of the van, according to sheriff's officials.
Billington, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital where she died, according to sheriff's officials.

The driver of the Caravan, a 42-year-old Royal Oak man, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash, according to sheriff's officials.
Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
Officials were still investigating the crash and no other details were released.
