1 Dead, Multiple Hurt In I-94 Crash In Metro Detroit: Police
Police said the driver of the pickup truck that caused the accident was partially ejected and died in the crash.
WAYNE, MI — A man was killed and four other people were injured in a Tuesday crash on Interstate 94 in metro Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on westbound Interstate 94 near Wayne Road in Romulus, according to police.
Police said a man was driving a pickup truck on the freeway and tried taking an exit ramp when he lost control of the truck, which moved across all lanes and struck another pick-up truck.

Police said he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Police did not immediately identify him due to his injuries sustained in the crash.
The four people in the truck that was struck, two adults and two kids from Ann Arbor, were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, according to police.
"A seatbelt will not only keep you behind the wheel, it will keep you inside of the vehicle," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "We are seeing too many drivers not wearing their seatbelts. Wear your seatbelt, it will save your life."
