Woman, 25, Ejected, Killed In Metro Detroit Freeway Crash: Police
Police said the woman was driving on the freeway and suddenly lost control of her vehicle.

ROMULUS, MI — A 25-year-old Wayne woman was killed in a crash on a metro Detroit freeway Monday night, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 7:10 p.m. on southbound Interstate 275 and W Huron River Drive in Romulus, according to police.
Police said the woman was driving south in a Jeep Cherokee in the right lane on the freeway when she suddenly lost control of the Jeep and crossed all lanes of traffic.

The Jeep then ran into the center median before hitting the bridge abutment, throwing the woman from the vehicle, according to police.
The 25-year-old woman, who was the sole occupant inside the Jeep, was killed in the crash, according to police.

There were no other injuries and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
"Investigators are currently trying to figure out why the driver lost control," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "We are waiting on ME reports and vehicle inspections. This crash does serve as a reminder of how important it is to wear your seatbelt."
