5 Things To Do This Weekend In Plymouth-Canton

A few adventures to add to your weekend itinerary.

PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI — TGIF to Plymouth-Canton! Here are a few weekend activities in the area to put on your radar.

1. Hit up the Craft Bazaar and Open House at the Plymouth Historical Museum (155 S. Main St., Plymouth) on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

2. What better plan to walk than in the Walk of Trees in Kellogg Park? It's open now through New Year's Day.

3. Sign the kids up for Home Depot's Gingerbread Man Candy Dish workshop. According to Home Depot's website, kids not only get their Gingerbread craft, but they'll receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin. Click here to register for the Saturday, Dec. 3 session which runs 9:00 a.m. to noon at Home Depot (47725 5 Mile Rd., Plymouth).

4. Feeling crafty? And a little indie? Check out the Detroit Urban Craft Fair, which is heralded as Michigan's largest and longest-running indie craft fair. The fair is 10 a.. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Masonic Temple, 500 Temple St., Detroit.

5. Here's the king of all holiday open houses: The 44th annual Noel Night in Midtown Detroit, where over 100 venues are free of charge, ranging from the Detroit Institute of the Arts to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to the Detroit Public Library. And who doesn't love a singalong? The night concludes with a singalong on Woodward Ave. led by the Salvation Army Band. Check it out on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
