55 Fans Ejected From UM-Michigan State Football Game At The Big House

Most Fans were thrown out for disorderly conduct, while others were tossed for alcohol​-related incidents, according to campus police.​

ANN ARBOR, MI — There were 55 football fans ejected from Michigan Stadium during the Michigan Wolverines-Michigan State Spartans rivalry game Saturday night, according to the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security.

Most of the fans, 34, were thrown out for disorderly conduct, while the others were tossed for alcohol-related incidents, according to campus police.

There were seven ejections for intoxication, six for violation of the stadium’s alcohol rules, five for fighting, two for assault and one for violation of stadium ticket rules, according to campus police.

In addition, there were also 42 medical calls on Saturday for fans, including 20 that were alcohol-related, according to campus police.

There were ten fans taken to a nearby hospital, including six for alcohol, according to campus police.

As for the game, the Wolverines defeated the Spartans 24-17, earning their third straight win in the rivalry.

The Wolverines will host No. 1 Oregon next Saturday, while the Spartans will host No. 13 Indiana. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
