Ann Arbor Woman Hit, Killed By 2 Cars While Crossing Road: Police
Investigators do not believe speed and reckless driving played a factor in the crash.
PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman died after she was hit by two cars Monday evening in Pittsfield Township, according to police.
Police said the 26-year-old Ann Arbor woman was walking across Carpenter Road near Packard Road at 6:13 p.m. Monday when she was hit by a car. She was then struck by a second car, according to police.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries, according to police.

The drivers of both vehicles stopped at the scene and were cooperating with investigators, according to police.
Neither driver was injured, according to police.

Investigators said the woman was crossing the road in a crosswalk, but against a red do not cross signal. Both drivers had a green traffic signal when they struck the woman, according to police.
Investigators do not believe speed and reckless driving played a factor in the crash. They are looking into whether drugs and alcohol played a role, but hasn’t been determined yet.
