Bags Of Dog, Puppy Remains Found On Road In Washtenaw County

Reports say both adult dogs and some puppies were found in bags, some cut into pieces. Police are seeking the public's help to investigate.

YPSILANTI, MI — Police in Washtenaw County are investigating after several trash bags containing dog remains were discovered on the side of the road.

The Community Work Program in Ypsilanti found the bags near McGregor and Coolidge roads in Ypsilanti Township while collecting garbage, according to reports. There is no surveillance in the area, so authorities are asking for the public's help for any possible information.

The trash bags were discovered on April 23 and 24 and contained the remains of both adult and puppy dogs. Some of the dogs had been cut up into pieces, reports said.
