Canton Man Charged With Murder In Wife's Death: Police
A 30-year-old Canton man could spend the rest of his life in prison after police said he killed his wife earlier this week.
CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 30-year-old Canton man could spend the rest of his life in prison after police said he killed his wife earlier this week.
Officers found 30-year-old Yu Zhao dead at 1 a.m. Monday inside a Canton home in the 200 block of Pinehurt Drive, according to police.
Michael Shaonan Shen has been charged with first-degree murder. He was placed in jail without bond. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 19.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Investigators believe Shen strangled his wife, Zhao, inside the home early Monday morning.
