Canton Man Cited for Destruction of Property After Cutting Neighbors TV Cable Line
Police: the man said he believed his neighbor was stealing electricity from him.

A Canton man on the 43000 block of Proctor Road was cited for malicious destruction of property after cutting his neighbor's TV cable line, according to a police report.
The neighbors told police that their cable went out at 6:15 p.m. and they immediately called AT&T to find out the problem. While waiting on the phone, they saw the man, who appeared to be picking up sticks for a fire near their cable box. AT&T told the neighbors that something was wrong with their connection and a repair person would have to come out and fix it, the report said.
According to the report, the neighbors went next door to speak to the man who admitted to cutting the line.

Canton Police Officers spoke to neighbor, who appeared visibly intoxicated with the smell of alcohol on his breath, the report said. The man admitted to police that he cut wire because he believed his neighbors were stealing electricity from him.
