Canton Police Officer Resigns After Allegedly Making Racist Social Media Comments
The officer had been with the department for one year.

CANTON, MI — A Canton Police officer has resigned following the revelation he reportedly made racist comments on social media, according to a news release.
The officer, Kenneth Kleszcz, allegedly told African Americans to "go home monkeys" during a live feed of an election protest earlier in the month. Canton police became aware of the situation on Nov. 11 and immediately launched an investigation and suspended Kleszcz.
Kleszcz, who joined the Canton police in 2015, resigned on Nov. 21, according to a Canton police press release.
