Canton Police Respond to Hit-and-Run Mailbox Damage

Canton Township Police responded Dec. 6 to the 7700 block of Charrington for a report of damage to a mailbox caused by a hit-and-run, according to a police report.

According to the report, it appeared as though a vehicle had struck the post, knocking it nearly completely to the ground.

The owner of the mailbox told police she did not know who struck the post and had not been contacted by the responsible party.
