Cinco de Mayo Celebrated In Metro Detroit
From to Detroit to the suburbs, Cinco de Mayo celebrations and special dinning deals start on Friday.
METRO DETROIT, MI — Cinco de Mayo remembers the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. In Detroit and the rest of the country, the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture.
According to the Detroit News, a number of Cinco de Mayo parties will be held starting Friday. Here’s a list:
