Crisp, Sunny Labor Day Weekend Weather On Tap

Temperatures will steadily rise over the Labor Day weekend with rain creeping into the forecast on Monday.

METRO DETROIT, MI — If cool and sunny is your kind of weather, the Labor Day weekend metropolitan Detroit forecast is right up your alley. After a high struggling to get into the mid 60s on Friday, temperatures will start to rebound on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, look for a high of about 70 on Saturday and even a little warmer on Sunday. A chance of rain moves in on Labor Day, but it shouldn’t be enough to stop anyone from hitting Royal Oak’s Arts, Beats and Eats or the Michigan State Fair in Novi.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. East northeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70. East wind around 9 mph.
Saturday Night: A chance of showers before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. East southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. West northwest wind 7 to 11 mph. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61.

Labor Day: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely between 8pm and 2am, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.
