Furry Convention Evacuated From MI Hotel: Reports
The event came under threat for the second year in a row, according to the Detroit Free Press.
YPSILANTI, MI — The Motor City Furry Con was evacuated Sunday following a threat, according to reports.
Convention organizers notified attendees of the evacuation shortly before 9 a.m. on social media, directing people to leave the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in vehicles or walk to the golf course. About three hours later, the hotel reopened, according to a social media update from the convention.
This is the second year the event for those “who appreciate the anthropomorphic lifestyle” has been evacuated, the Detroit Free Press reported, after a bomb threat was emailed to organizers last year.
