Malfunctioning Fire Alarm Triggers Evacuation at Salem High School
Students and staff were not in any danger during the incident.

A fire alarm triggered an evacuation of Salem High School around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
District officials said students and staff were not in any danger, but all were evacuated from the building per safety protocol, and moved indoors to Plymouth and Canton High Schools while the situation was investigated.
The malfunctioning alarm was triggered by a burst pipe in the auditorium, according to P-CEP.
Students returned to classes and the remainder of the school day was resumed as scheduled.
