Man Steals Thousands In Merchandise From Wayne Co. Sports Store: Cops

Police said the man took coolers, clothing and hunting equipment worth more than $2,100.

LIVONIA, MI — Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted in connection with stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Wayne County sports store.

Over the past several weeks, a man has walked into Dunham’s Sports located at 17625 Newburgh in Livonia on three separate occasions, wearing different clothes each time, according to police.

Surveillance cameras then captured the man leaving the store with coolers, clothing and hunting equipment that he didn't pay for, according to police.

Police said the stolen merchandise is worth more than $2,100.

Anyone who recognizes the suspected thief was asked to call Sgt. Salter at 734-466-2324. Police officials said tipsters can remain anonymous.
