Man Who Struck and Killed West Bloomfield Man With SUV in Northville Sentenced to 3 Years Probation

Kevin Alexander, 43, of South Lyon, has been sentenced to three years probation with his sport-utility vehicle in downtown Northville.

He will also have to pay restitution in the amount of $11,050, court costs and complete 100 hours of community service, according to the Wayne County prosecutor's office. He was sentenced on Thursday.

During the first year of his probation, Alexander will go to jail on the weekends. In the second year, he will wear a tether. 

Alexander was driving on Griswold Street in downtown Northville in December 2011 when he struck and killed Joshua Green, who was walking in the street. Alexander sped away from the scene, sparking and driver.

earlier this year. In May, he pleaded no contest to the charge of failure to stop at the scene of a serious personal injury accident.
