This Metro Detroit Credit Union Is Giving Out Community Grants

Non-profit organizations have until June 29 to apply for these local grants.

METRO DETROIT, MI – Do you know of a local non-profit organization that could benefit from a community grant? Michigan’s Metro West Chapter of Credit Unions is currently accepting grant requests of up to $2,500 from non-profit organizations to support local community improvement activities in Wayne or Washtenaw counties.

This year the Chapter will award a total of at least $11,100, organizers say.

Non-profit organizations should complete an online application at http://metrowest.mcul.org/2019-charity-grant-application-copy by June 29, 2019. Those who won grants in 2018 through Metro West are not eligible to apply.

Grant recipients will be notified by Aug. 14, 2019, and top recipients will be recognized at the Metro West Chapter Charity Golf Outing on Aug. 15.

The mission of the Metro West Chapter of Credit Unions is to support the educational needs, community improvement and political advocacy for credit unions in the Metro West Chapter.
