Michigan Football Vs Ohio State: What To Know

Saturday's game will mark the 14 time the two programs meet as top 5 teams in college football.

ANN ARBOR, MI — For the second straight year, an undefeated Michigan team will play an undefeated Ohio State team for a spot in the Big Ten Championship game and a likely spot in the College Football Playoff.

The No. 3 Wolverines (11-0) will play the No. 2 Buckeyes (11-0) at the Big House in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for noon on Fox (channel 2). The winner will play the Iowa Hawkeyes (9-2) in the Big Ten Championship game in Indianapolis, where they will be heavy favorites over the Hawkeyes.

The Wolverines will be without Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, who was suspended by the Big Ten Conference as part of the conference's sign-stealing investigation. Offensive line coach Sherrone Moore will fill in for Harbaugh, making him the program's first Black head coach in the Big Game.

On the other hand, Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day enters the Big Game looking for the program's first win against the Wolverines since 2019. The Wolverines won the last two matchups by double-digits.

The Wolverines have adopted the monikers "Free Harbaugh" and "Michigan vs Everybody," while the Buckeyes claim, "Ohio State vs the World."
