NBA Legend Opening New Chicken Restaurant In Metro Detroit

The planned metro Detroit location is first of roughly 20 stores set to open across Michigan, according to restaurant officials.

LIVONIA, MI — An NBA legend is opening a new chicken restaurant in the former space where another celebrity chef once had a chicken restaurant in Livonia.

Big Chicken, a chain co-founded by NBA great Shaquille O’Neal, is planing to open a new restaurant at 30130 Plymouth Road sometime in October, according to news reports.

The spot was once home to Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy! That restaurant closed earlier this summer after just one year. It was the only Chicken Guy! in the metro Detroit area.
