New Canton Apartment Complex Along Ford Road Now Under Construction

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Construction crews have started work on a new apartment complex along Ford Road in Canton Township, according to Continental Properties, which is a national developer focused on developing multi-family communities.

The new 280-unit complex, Springs at Willow Creek, will be located on the southeast corner of Lotz and Ford roads.

It features 14 two-story townhome buildings with 20 apartments, including one, two and three bedroom homes. The homes will also feature private ground-level entrances and attached garage options.

Plans also call for a gated entrance with decorative fencing around the property, making it Canton Township’s first residential gated community.

Officials expect the new complex will be complete by next summer when pre-leasing opens. During that period, prospective residents will be able to visit the property and view apartment finishes and floor plans. Move-ins are expected in the fall of 2025.

"Residents will enjoy a resort-style living experience, with excellent amenities including a 24-hour fitness center, a modern clubhouse, and two pet playgrounds," Continental Properties Vice President of Multifamily Operations Heather Riggs said.

The new complex's location on Ford Road is close to popular retailers, such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, Meijer and Target, as well as specialty destinations such as IKEA, Lifetime Fitness and BJ’s Wholesale.
