PCCS : Important Updates For P-CEP Families / Late Start On January 3, 2022

P-CEP Students & Families:

We want to thank you for your support as we have navigated through the challenges of the past couple weeks. We will continue to provide communication and updates to you in an effort to keep you informed.

We have implemented a district-wide plan for refresher ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate) training sessions for our staff in managing an active crisis situation. As we prepare for the safe return of our students to in-person learning at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (Canton HS, Plymouth HS, Salem HS) after the upcoming holiday break, we have put together an accelerated plan to provide refresher ALICE training to P-CEP staff. While we are starting with the P-CEP staff on this date, ongoing training has been planned for all other buildings and programs in our district in the coming weeks.

As you know, our P-CEP students and staff have been working remotely this week.  In preparation for the return to in-person learning after the holiday break, we have scheduled a late start for all P-CEP students on Monday, January 3, 2022 in order to provide refresher ALICE Training for all P-CEP staff upon their return. The late start for students will allow ample and appropriate time for the staff training to be completed. During the refresher training and debriefing, our teachers will be provided with additional information regarding ALICE training to share with their students when they return to the classroom later that morning. Students will follow the schedule for classes below which will allow each teacher in each hour the opportunity to discuss emergency information specific to their classroom space.

Late Start Schedule for P-CEP Students on Monday, January 3, 2022

• 1st Hour: 11:22 a.m. - 11:43 a.m.

• 2nd Hour: 11:53 a.m. - 12:14 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR STUDENTS WHO USE TRANSPORTATION: Bus pickup times will be four hours delayed for P-CEP students compared to their regular pickup times on Monday, January 3, 2022. For example, if your usual pickup time is 6:25 a.m, your pickup time on Monday would be 10:25 a.m.
