PCCS : Masks No Longer Required On School Buses As Of Monday, February 28

On Friday, February 25, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) updated its requirements related to public transportation, including while riding school buses. The announcement is aligned with last week’s updated guidance for mask wearing in K-12 schools in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level.
As of Monday, February 28, masks will no longer be required to be worn by students while riding on school buses. Students may continue wearing masks if they choose. Durham Transportation staff will be required to wear masks in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration’s mask mandate, which is in place until March 18, 2022. Masks are available on all buses for student and staff use.

Please discuss your masking decisions with your student(s) so they are prepared for ridership on Monday.
