IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE FOR ALL FAMILIES! In order to provide a more predictable transportation program for our students and families returning to in-person instruction in January, we are making the following changes to our transportation program:
-
We are moving to a proactive suspension and rotating routes plan. Beginning January 10, 2022, we will rotate the suspension of 12 uncovered routes every two weeks. This plan will continue until such time that an adequate number of drivers are in place to reliably cover all routes.
-
The purpose of this plan is to make suspensions more predictable and equitable for all families while reducing delays and last minute cancellations in daily routes.
-
Our plan at this time is to rotate routes every two weeks, starting with bringing back the routes that have been suspended since the beginning of the school year. Once these routes are back up, they will be exempt from a planned suspension for the remainder of the school year.
Please note that state-mandated Special Education bus routes will not be canceled or suspended.
While we are not able to guarantee there won’t be additional suspensions/rotations of routes due to unexpected circumstances, the goal is to significantly reduce the frequency of last-minute suspensions or significant delays.

Parents and families now have access to Securly Home! P-CCS has been using Securly, an online content filter, to filter district-issued Chromebooks for about four years. The district has now expanded our contract with Securly to offer new and enhanced features, such as Securly Home, at no cost to families. Using Securly Home, parents/guardians can monitor and restrict the content that their students can access on their district-issued devices.
-
All families have or will receive an onboarding email from Securly with instructions on how to enroll with Securly Home and link your account to your students account.
-
Please note that the email you receive will be from noreply@securly.com.
-
-
The Securly Home portal will be accessible via app (Apple Store and Google Play Store), as well as web browser (https://securly.com/parent-login).
-
We are excited to bring this new feature to you and expect it to roll out without any issues. However, if you have any questions or concerns, first please check out the FAQs on the Securly Home help site or submit a support ticket with Securly. If further assistance is still needed, please contact your school’s technology support team.

P-CCS Elementary, Middle Schools Named "Best Schools" By U.S. News! P-CCS saw 12 of our schools receive a best schools designation from the publication last week! The "Best Schools" list sees U.S. News evaluators assess schools on students' proficiencies in mathematics and reading, as measured by state assessment tests. The formula they use ensures that top-ranked schools are high achieving ones that succeeded in educating all of their students. Thank you to all of our students and staff district wide for the amazing work they do every day to make P-CCS what it is!
-
Gallimore Elementary School ranked second on the overall statewide elementary list.
-
Smith, Isbister, Bird, Tonda, Dodson, and Workman Elementary Schools joined Gallimore as "Best Schools" award recipients.
-
Pioneer, West, East, Discovery and Liberty Middle Schools were all named to the list.
