Headlines:

  • Three teams of Canton High School students continued the district's tradition of excellence in computer programming and cybersecurity education recently when they swept the honors at the sixth annual Governor's High School Cyber Challenge competition. This year's challenge saw 169 teams from 21 schools progress through the competition's rounds until 10 schools took on the final tasks. Of the final 10 teams, four were composed of P-CEP students! 

    • First place in the competition went to Eric D'Urso, David Reeves, and Jacob Eason.

  • Second place went to Alex Liao and Jayden Sarveshkumar.

  • Taking third place were Pranav Merugu, Fritz Geib, and Robert Everitt.

    • Welcome to Tracye Johnson, the district's new Executive Director of Specialized Services! Ms. Johnson’s love of education as a lifelong learner has led her to this important role with P-CCS. Ms. Johnson was most recently the Assistant Director of Student Intervention and Support Services for Ann Arbor Public Schools. She also served as the Special Education Supervisor for the Education Achievement Authority in Detroit and was a special education teacher for the Detroit Public Schools and Farmington Public Schools. She is currently working on her fourth degree from Wayne State University, to go along with her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Special Education, a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership and an Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Degree in Special Education Administration. Soon she will complete her Doctorate Degree of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Please join us in welcoming Tracye Johnson to Plymouth-Canton Community Schools!
