Dear Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Staff, Families, and Students:

Out of an abundance of caution, all P-CCS schools and programs (early childhood, elementary, middle, high schools, post-secondary, and P-CCS Virtual Academy) will be closed today, Friday, December 3. This includes all after-school activities and athletics district-wide. Virtual learning will not be held at any level, including students at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park.

Thank you for your understanding as we have had to adjust our plans from what was originally communicated yesterday afternoon. Our local law enforcement officials have been investigating threats circulating on social media throughout the night and early morning. We have made the decision to close all schools today in order to provide adequate time for law enforcement to complete their investigation and ensure all P-CCS buildings are safe for in-person learning when we resume instruction on Monday, December 6.

We would like to thank our local law enforcement partners, School Resource Officers and security personnel who have worked long hours and remained dedicated to supporting the safety of our school community. Student safety and well-being remains the number one priority of Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.

Yours in learning,
