PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI — A plan to build a row of condominiums in Plymouth Township passed its first hurdle Wednesday.
Pulte Homes of Michigan's proposal to build 73 condos on Sheldon Road near Five Mile Road was passed by officials during the city's planning commission meeting.
Officials on the planning commission did, however, set several conditions Pulte must meet, including a report of increased traffic in the area.

Pulte's proposal asks for roughly 8 acres of land that is currently part of the Saint John's Resort. The company hopes the condos will appeal to everyone from young professionals to retirees. Initial plans for the condos include roughly 2,000 square feet with a base price starting around $400,000.
Pulte's proposal moves to the Plymouth Township Board of Trustees, who will review the proposal at a later date. If the trustees approve the proposal, it will return to the planning commission for a site plan review and then to the township board for final approval.
