Home town: Plymouth
Hero's job: Nonprofit leader
Relationship to nominee: She is a prominent local figure who runs the nonprofit singlescreen movie theater
Reason for recognition: The Penn Theater, which Ms Elliott oversees, has been shuttered
since March. But she and her team have come up with a new inspiring movie quote to put
on the marquee every week, and have shared it on social media to increase its reach and
buoy spirits.
One thing to know: She not only led the charge to save and restore a gem of a theater in
the heart of downtown, but even when that theater is closed she's using it for good
Thank you for all you do, Ellen.
