Popular Bar Near EMU Closing Down Soon

YPSILANTI, MI — A popular bar near Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti is closing down soon.

The Wurst Bar, located on Cross Street across from the Eastern Michigan University campus, announced Wednesday that its last day will be Aug. 24.

While the bar is closing, the owners did tease that something new is in the works.

"This location will be going through renovations, and while we are sad to say goodbye to The Wurst Bar, we're excited to share that something new is brewing," the business wrote on social media.
