WESTLAND, MI — Officials have closed a popular sledding hill in Wayne County after three people, including a 10-year-old girl, were injured this week, according to multiple reports.
Officials have put barricades in place around Middlebelt Hill at Hines Park in Westland after the incidents, and will ticket people for people ignoring the closure, news reports said.
Officials said the 10-year-old girl was sledding with her friend on the hill Wednesday when it was icy and slid into water near the hill, which is also known as "Deadman's Hill," news reports said.
