Portillo's Opening New Metro Detroit Location Later This Month
The restaurant is best-known for serving up famous Chicago-style hot dogs.

LIVONIA, MI — Portillo's, known for their Chicago-style hot dogs, is opening a new restaurant in metro Detroit this month.
The new restaurant, which will be in Livonia's Millenium Park, located at the intersection of Interstate 96 and Middlebelt Road, is planning to open Tuesday, July 16.
The new 7,900 square-foot restaurant will feature a garage-themed design with a dining room that sits up to more than 175 customers. There will also be a seasonal outdoor patio with room for roughly 50 additional guests.

The new restaurant will also feature a Portillo's pick-up area as well as it's signature double drive-thru lanes.
Michigan's first and only other Portillo's restaurant opened in Sterling Heights in 2021. A Portillo's beef bus made its way through the metro Detroit area earlier this year.
