Salem's received a rude welcome from host Saline in varsity girls lacrosse action Tuesday. Saline schored five goals in the opening five minutes and went on to win 13-3.
Down 5-0 after five goals by Saline sophomore Chelsey Bishop, Salem got on the board with a goal from senior Lexi O'connor. Saline held a 7-1 lead at halftime. Down 10-1, Salem showed signs of life, forcing turnovers and driving Saline's net. Sophomore Shannon Fitzpatrick and freshman Rose Krasofsky scored for Salem, but Saline closed with three straight goals.
